On Wednesday morning 18^th June four members of the cycling group (Sylvia, Jim, Jeff and Colin) met on a beautiful sunny and warm morning at the George in Brixworth to embark on an approx 18 miles ride round the quieter lanes of the county heading for Kelmarsh Hall where we enjoyed refreshments under an umbrella shade in front of the hall. This was welcome as the heat of the day was beginning to build and by the time we returned to Brixworth via Hazelbeche and Cottesbrooke the thermometer had risen to 28 celsius.

With an elevation gain of 1158 feet we averaged 11.2 mph - a reasonable workout.
