The Art Appreciation Group braved torrential showers as members visited the Northamptonshire and Rutland Open Studios Art Exhibition at Lamport Hall.

This event takes place annually at this time of year and the central exhibition at Lamport is a display of work from many artists working in various media. We had a lovely afternoon appreciating the creativity of potters, glass artists, textile workers, sculptors, jewellery makers, painters etc before resting our feet in the Stables cafe with the obligatory cup of coffee.

We are very fortunate to have this exhibition on our doorstep (free entry and car parking!) so do look out for the Open Studios catalogue year
