We meet between 10.00 and 12.00 am on the third Friday of each month at the Brixworth Heritage Centre.
As the title suggests we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We support each other in our writing efforts with praise and encouragement.
No previous experience is required and inspiration comes through our own life experiences, drawing upon characters both past and present to bring our stories to life.
Memories and observations are all that is needed to develop and stir up the imagination and give a sense of authenticity to the scenario.
We also learn from each other through our different styles of writing, sense of humour and sensitivity.
Sometimes it feels like group therapy only a lot cheaper and much more fun.
The writing group successfully put together our second book of short stories and as many of you will know we have been selling them for a few weeks now. The feedback so far has been really positive, so thank you to everyone who bought one or even two or more of our books. If you would like to buy one please contact the Co-ordinator icon above.

So why not give us a try, find your own writing style and enjoy good company at the same time; click on the Co-ordinator icon above and send us a message.
Writing is Fun !
This month we all wrote a story of an incredible journey for the U3A magazine competition. The author of this story did not want to enter so we are able to use it for the website. Click ABC to read it.
