The Walking and Strolling Group was formed in 2011 and have completed over 100 walks since then.
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month (except December) at a local pub or restuarant.
If you need further information on our activities or would like to join us on a walk or a stroll, then send us a message by clicking on the Co-ordinator icon above.
Please note, if joining a walk or stroll; It is important that we know if you are staying or not staying for lunch.
This helps the pub / restaurant with catering.

Peter Martin Memorial Walk March 2026
“Sadly, Peter Martin passed away some weeks ago; however, on the 10th March U3A Ramblers and Strollers joined forces at The Stag in Maidwell for a special walk to scatter the Peter’s ashes. He led the walks for so many years and will be sadly missed.
Walking past the waterfall and up past the farm, the walkers reached a high point with fantastic views to the West. It was here, at a memorial area laid to previous walkers, that Peter wished his ashes to be scattered: his favourite spot. After a brief pause to remember him, the Ramblers went on to complete the circuit, whilst the Strollers headed back to The Stag for a well-deserved pub lunch before heading home.”
